How to flag a breach?

In order to bring to the attention of our team a file that is unlawful or in breach of our website’s Terms and Conditions, please send us a statement by email at: abuse@public-files.com.

Your statement must comply with Law No 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 on confidence in the digital economy, and must therefore contain the following elements:

  • the date of the notification;
  • if the notifier is a natural person: surname, first and middle names, profession, street address, nationality, date and place of birth; if the notifier is a legal person: form of the legal entity, name, registered office, organ representing the entity;
  • the description of the alleged breach and its precise localisation (file URL);
  • the grounds for the removal of the content, including relevant legislation and a factual justification.

Important: we recall that under Article 6.I.4 of the Law on confidence in the digital economy « the act of knowingly making a false claim about the illegality of an activity or content, in order to obtain its removal or prevent its dissemination, shall be punished with a prison term of one year and a penalty of 15,000 euros. ».
